The Judicial Service Com-mission (JSC) yesterday announced that seven judges have been recommended to President Irfaan Ali for appointment to the Guyana Court of Appeal.
In a press release the JSC announced those to be appointed as Justices Jo-Ann Barlow, Navindra Singh, Nareshwar Harna-nan, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, Joycelin Kyte-Thomas, Damone Younge and Rafiq Khan SC.
The release said that President Ali has fixed today as the date for the swearing in of five of those members.
According to the JSC, due to the “exigencies of office” and the need to address outstanding matters, Justice Younge and Khan will take the oath of office at a later date.
