‘Settlement of all Arguments’ Street-ball

A new champion will be crowned in the ‘Settlement of all Arguments’ Street-ball Championship following the exit of last year’s joint winners, Back Circle B and Taliban, on Friday evening, as North East La Penitence, Gold is Money, and Bent Street A secured semifinal berths.

North East La Penitence bested home side Back Circle B by a 3-2 score on penalty kicks after regulation and extra time ended scoreless.

Similarly, Gold is Money disarmed the Talibans by a 3-2 score-line on sudden death penalty kicks after full-time failed to resolve the teams at 1-1.

Meanwhile, Back Circle A downed North Ruimveldt 2-0. On the other hand, Bent Street A overcame a one-goal deficit to defeat Team RV 3-1.

Gold is Money will now oppose Bent Street A in the first semifinal, while North East La Penitence will battle Back Circle A on Tuesday at the same venue.

The winner of the event will receive $500,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth place finishers will pocket $300,000, $150,000, and $100,000, respectively, and the corresponding accolade.
