The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) yesterday confirmed the recovery of the body of Lance Corporal Stefon Tudor, who went missing during a routine Cuyuni River patrol on
Thursday, May 29, 2025.
A release from the GDF said that Tudor fell overboard in the vicinity of the Makapa Rapids along the Cuyuni River. Immediate rescue efforts were made by his patrol team,
followed by a sustained search operation led by GDF units with support from local partners, the GDF said.
