Just hours after New Amsterdam Mayor Wainwright Mc Intosh shared his concern over the roaming of cattle on the roadway, 25-year-old Jamal Hughes of Lot 90 Glasgow Village, East Bank Berbice died after his motorcycle CP2700, collided with an unbranded cow on the Lot 41 Stanleytown Public Road.
In a live broadcast during the early hours of Sunday morning, Mc Intosh expressed concern over cattle owners allowing their animals to roam along the main thoroughfare. “It’s just disgusting”, he said.
At about 12:30 am yesterday on the Lot 41 Stanleytown Public Road, New Amsterdam, Hughes and pillion rider Marashia Dehart, a 24-year-old female, were on the motorcycle when they collided with an unbranded cow. The owner of the animal is unknown.
